Description:

Sales Engineer 

We are urgently hiring a Sales Engineer for our client, a leader in real-time, single platform systems which support energy and grid management/wellness, providing commercial all-in-one air quality monitoring systems that provide continuous, actionable data to help reduce the unseen risk factors that impact the health and productivity of building occupants.

Compensation and Benefits:

  • $80,000 per year, and up, based on experience
  • 5% annual bonus
  • RRSP with up to 4% matching
  • Occupational Training and regular 1:1 Coaching Sessions

Responsibilities:

  • Analyze energy and building system data to create actionable visualizations, alerts, models, and sequences of operations on our Energy Management Software (EMS) platforms
  • Identify energy savings and cost avoidance opportunities, determine plans of action and measurement, and leverage analytics to create customer M&W projects within our EMS
  • Act as a technical resource for members of the sales team (e.g. attending sales meetings as subject matter expert, providing analysis, etc.)
  • Learn and execute the process to commission buildings physically and digitally
  • Conduct detailed (building operator) platform trainings
  • Identify energy savings and cost avoidance opportunities, determine plan of action and measurement, and leverage analytics team to create content in platform
  • Train building engineers to fully understand software solutions and building curtailment plans
  • Serve as an on-site technical resource for project implementations, including:
    • Conduct an energy audit of prospective client building(s)
    • Attend sales calls as a technical specialist
    • Perform economic analysis for clients’ changes in operations, rate structures, etc.
    • Install new (low voltage) remote metering and sensor equipment
    • Install new (low voltage) and configure wireless network devices
    • Troubleshoot data connectivity issues and respond to device outages
    • Confirm accurate calibration of field devices
    • Program onsite monitoring devices

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, mathematics, business, or computer sciences
  • At least 5-7 yrs. experience within the energy industry or building technologies
  • Must be willing to travel up to 10%, both domestic and between US and Canada
  • Software and/or operational experience
  • Must be able to work flexible schedules as customer base is coast to coast
  • Team player with an outstanding ability to communicate externally and internally
  • Self-motivated, detail oriented, and adaptable
  • Ability to resolve client issues quickly coupled with ability to simplify our processes
  • Continuous improvement mindset with the desire to teach and improve operations
