Project Manager
Working with our client, a visionary as the partnership of choice for commodity buyers and suppliers, no matter the size of their operation, offering sellers the most efficient, convenient way of matching supply with the demand, while always delivering fast, friendly service, to match the supply and demand between buyers and suppliers resulting in all parties needs being satisfied.. 

Benefits of the role:

Responsibilities: 

  • Define and communicate project scopes
  • Create and manage project budgets
  • Create project management plans
  • Negotiate with contractors to obtain a profitable contract
  • Develop and track project schedules
  • Obtain building permits, licenses, and meet code regulations
  • Maintain health and safety standards on-site
  • Schedule/attend meetings and take minutes/notes and undertake necessary follow-ups
  • Manage a team of development coordinators and delegate duties to ensure project completion according to schedule and budget
  • Evaluate project performance and solve any issues that arise in a timely and efficient manner
  • Oversee the performance of contractors to ensure that tasks are being done on time and to quality standards set by the organization
  • Prepare and present project reports to senior management 

Qualifications: 

  • 5-6 years of experience in a project management or related field
  • Valid driver’s licence and reliable access to a vehicle
  • PMP designation an asset
  • Strong knowledge of construction best practices
  • Strong team management and leadership skills
  • Strong problem-solving and conflict-resolution skills
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Project management skills such as time management, project budgeting, resource management, and project scheduling
  • Proven risk management skills
