The Irish Job Market in 2015
28 December 2024
Optimism seems to be returning to the Irish job market with news that a recent survey found that over 50% of employees feel the job market is improving.
This renewed sense of confidence in the job market seems to be echoed by Irish employers with Osborne noting a significant increase in the demand for temps since late 2014 / early 2015.
The healthier economy means a rise in the number of companies who are now willing and able to hire temps to cover short-term assignments, this is particularly prevalent over the summer months with more staff taking holiday leave.
Osborne has also noted a significant increase in the number of permanent roles across all sectors but most notably in Engineering, Pharma, Accounting & Office Support. This increased number of jobs has led to a shortage of candidates in some areas.
