Description:

We are currently recruiting for an Accounts Receivable Specialist to join a Software client based in Toronto. This role will be an initial 2-month contract. You will be responsible for managing the Accounts Receivable Cycle from billing to collection along with other adhoc duties within the team.

You as the ideal candidate will be responsible for:

  • Preparing and processing all Accounts Receivable (A/R) related invoices in accounting system on a regular basis with appropriate approvals
  • Processing any A/R, revenue and deferred revenue adjustments required
  • Taking ownership of the A/R Collections process involving ongoing communication through emails, phone calls and keeping an up-to-date record on a weekly basis
  • Processing all bank payments received from customers and other parties
  • Assisting manager with month-end tasks including reconciliations and reporting
  • Supporting Customer Success team by providing them reports on semi-monthly basis outlining customer renewals, churns, retention rates etc.
  • Assisting Financial Analyst in updating weekly reporting metrics
  • Assist Manager and/or CFO with adhoc projects
You as the ideal candidate will require:
  • Bachelor’s Degree in business – focus in finance/accounting and/or currently pursuing CPA designation
  • Minimum 2 years experience in a finance function with focus on Accounts Receivable
  • Experience working with Accounting System – Sage preferably
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Skilled in Microsoft Excel
