Sales Solutions Architect
We are urgently hiring a Sales Solutions Architect for our client, a pioneer in real-time, unified platform solutions designed to support energy efficiency, grid health, and comprehensive air quality monitoring systems for commercial spaces. Utilizing a combination of hardware and software technologies to address client requirements and collaborating with the sales team to assist in technical demonstrations and the creation of tailored solutions, this role requires the ideal Candidate’s expertise in building systems, IoT devices, energy efficiency, and air quality monitoring, along with excellent communication skills for engaging with customers.
Compensation and Benefits:
- $100,000 USD per year, based on experience
- 5% annual bonus

Responsibilities:
Pre-Sales Consultation & Client Engagement
- Partner with the sales team to assess client requirements, identify challenges, and align solutions with energy management and indoor air quality objectives.
- Lead technical discovery meetings to assess client needs, evaluate building infrastructure, and analyze energy usage patterns.
- Create tailored solution proposals that integrate both hardware (e.g., sensors, meters) and software for tracking and optimizing building performance
- Deliver customized product demonstrations, POCs, and technical presentations that emphasize the advantages of the platform for key stakeholders.
Solution Design & Architecture
- Develop comprehensive, scalable solutions combining hardware (e.g., sensors, meters) with software to monitor and improve building energy efficiency and air quality.
- Ensure seamless integration of solutions with existing systems such as HVAC, lighting, occupancy tracking, and energy monitorinG
- Collaborate with product and engineering teams to customize platform features and ensure successful hardware integration based on client needs.
Sales Support
- Serve as the technical expert during the sales process, addressing complex client inquiries and resolving concerns.
- Assist in preparing technical proposals, RFPs, and other sales materials, ensuring technical aspects are clearly communicated.
- Work with marketing to develop case studies and white papers highlighting solution successes.
Post-Sales Transition & Support
- Facilitate smooth handoffs to implementation teams, providing detailed technical documentation and support during initial deployment.
- Remain available as a technical resource during early stages of solution implementation to troubleshoot and resolve issues.
Product & Industry Knowledge
- Stay informed on emerging trends in energy management, air quality monitoring, IoT, and building automation technologies.
- Maintain expertise in the company's products, hardware sensors, and software platforms, and provide valuable feedback to product teams for continuous improvement.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Environmental Science, Mathematics, Business, or Computer Science, or related fields; with advanced degrees or certifications in sustainability or energy management preferred.
- 6+ years of experience in the energy sector or building technologies.
- 5+ years of experience in pre-sales, solutions architecture, or technical consulting, with a focus on energy management or environmental monitoring.
- Strong technical skills in designing hardware-software solutions, knowledge of EMS, BMS, and HVAC systems, as well as IoT and sensor technologies.
- Strong background in software operations or related technical fields.
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, and project management skills, with the ability to explain technical solutions to non-technical audiences.
- Must be available to work flexible hours, willing to travel up to 10%, accommodating a nationwide client base, including within the US and Canada.
- Collaborative, self-driven, highly organized, and adaptable to changing environments.
- Capable of resolving client concerns efficiently and streamlining internal processes.
- Focused on continuous improvement and passionate about enhancing and teaching operational practices.
