Working with our client, a long-time entity in the housing market in the downtown Toronto area, we are hiring looking a Human Resources Administrator for a six-month contract, to work closely with the HR Director in implementing fair company policies and procedures, assisting with grievances and complaints, and fostering an equitable, diverse and inclusive workplace for all personnel, executing all tasks and responsibilities with high level of professionalism and confidentiality.

Responsibilities:
- Nurture Client’s Diversity and Inclusion (D&I) vision by providing insights and coaching as well as data, analytics and content
- Drive D&I initiatives, policies, resources, tools and action plans to advance D&I goals
- Benchmark best practices and collect/analyze organizational metrics to identify opportunities to strengthening D&I across organization
- Oversee change management efforts to ensure effective communications and programs are in place to support change objectives
- Communicate on the impact of the organization’s efforts by creating engaging, concise summaries and/or reports for key stakeholders
- Ensure all communication on company website, social media pages, job descriptions and internal documents adhere to the D&I requirements
- Collaborate with HR team members in ensuring that policies covering recruitment and selection, onboarding, training and development are consistent with the D&I goals and initiatives
- Participate in HR employer-employee relations meetings and provide assistance with grievances, complaints, issues, and accommodations
- Network with external companies and partners to stay current with best practices that will help drive new programs, enhancements and initiatives
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant field (B. Admin., HR, etc.) is pref.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in a progressive HR role and/or Diversity and Inclusion, preferably in a unionized environment
- Solid understanding of D&I principles and best practices
- Good knowledge of the Employment Standards Act, compensation and benefits, labor negotiations, and employee relations
- Strong analytical and organizational skills to aggregate and validate data and develop insights for Client’s stakeholders
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Outstanding computer skills (MS Office applications) to build impactful presentations, reports, policies & procedures
- Ability to be detail-oriented in a fast-paced setting
