Landscape Crew Leader

Urgently recruiting a Landscape Crew Leader to join a Toronto based landscape maintenance company, serving residential and commercial clients in the GTA. Seeking candidates who enjoy the outdoors and comfortable working in all weather/season including winter. Compensation and Benefits

  • $24.00-$27.00 per hour (depending on experience)
  • Year-round employment available
  • Overtime if you work more than 44 hours a week
  • Evaluation Hire- (Temporary to permanent)

Responsibilities:

  • Manage a team of up to 3 people while performing services; motivate, coach, and mentor team
  • Install sod, mulch, plants, and other landscape enhancements (no stonework).
  • Cut grass, mow lawn, trim, edge, and debris clean-up
  • Spot opportunity areas for improvements or upsell on our accounts
  • Landscape Maintenance (weeding, deadheading, edging, trimming, seasonal pruning)
  • Other duties assigned

 

Requirements

  • 1-2 years of experience leading crew members
  • Valid G license and clean driving record
  • Experience driving in Toronto is an asset
  • Mobile phone with at least 2GB of data per month (to accurately read site maps, route books)  
  • Comfortable with all physical requirements of the job including lifting 50lbs., bending, lifting, utilizing hand tools, and working in various weather conditions
  • Own PPE: Hearing protection, eye protection, CSA (green tag) Safety boots
  • Comfortable wearing uniform – Uniform will be provided on the first day
  • Background check 
  • Safety-first mindset of yourself, co-workers, and the public
  • Strong attention to detail, organized, self-motivated, dependable
 

Hours:

  • Starts 7am (10-12 hours shift), 4-day work week (weather permitting)
