DIE CAST TOOLING

By utilizing MagmaSoft and C.A.E. software’s and understanding your standards, we can very early in the process determine optimum cooling, best fill, reduction of holder block sizes (leading to a reduced size requirement for your D.C.M.), improved cycle times, closer die temperatures and in the end – a reduced tooling and process cost. With knowledge of engineering and design expertise, program management with die cast die development and processing experience, you could say we know Die Cast tooling.

PLASTIC INJECTION TOOLING

AarKel Tool and Die also offers full product design and up front feasibility studies. Using our state of the art equipment and skilled toolmakers, we are able to build tooling ranging from 50 ton to 5,000 ton providing the ultimate in quality on the first shot. Our toolmakers are extensively experienced in the manufacture of all forms of tooling including open and shut, rotary, three plates, side action, multi cavity and stack molds. From small quantity to high volume, AarKel Tool and Die can support your tooling and program requirements.

Industrial Millwright

BASIC RESPONSIBILITY

Under the direction of and reporting to the Manager, Machining & Technology, this position is responsible for:

  • The effective and efficient maintenance, installation and modification of equipment and machinery within the plant to ensure reduced downtime and optimal operating efficiency.

NATURE AND SCOPE

 

The position of Industrial Millwright is an hourly-rated position working on the day shift with an average workweek comprised of a minimum of 44 hours per week. Weekend work may be necessary on occasion to address maintenance related issues.

Minimum education level required is Grade 12 or equivalent. The successful completion of a Certificate of Qualification in the Industrial Millwright discipline, coupled with 2-3 years proven industrial experience is preferable.

 

In addition the following skill sets are required:

 

  • A high level of skill to troubleshoot and repair all types of manufacturing equipment as required to achieve success and generate results;
  • Ability to read mechanical blueprints, drawings and schematics;
  • Working knowledge, understanding and troubleshooting skills in hydraulics, pneumatics, mechanical operations and HVAC;
  • Ability to diagnose, take corrective action and recommend improvements to equipment to achieve optimum line efficiency;
  • Experience in MIG and SMA welding;
  • Flexibility for work assignments and ability to meet tight deadlines;
  • Effective communications skills with all levels within the organization.
  • Ability to operate a lift truck, man lift and overhead hoist systems as required (as qualified)
